Q.  HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO TRAIN A DRONE PILOT?

It costs $1,500 to qualify as a RPL pilot.


Q.  HOW LONG IS THE INTERNSHIP?

Our internship programme is for 6 months. Upon qualification we provide employment for a further 3 months.


Q.  WHAT HAPPENS AFTER 3 MONTHS EMPLOYMENT AS A RPL PILOT?

Pilots will be able to work independently on their own projects or work as freelance pilots with one of our partners.


Q.  HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO CREATE ONE SKILLED JOB?
A. 
Including the 6 month internship and the RPL license it costs $5,000 to upskill candidates who will receive an average of 360 hours of flight time, mission planning and field work experience.


Q.  WHAT IS THE VALUE OF ONE RPL JOB TO SOCIETY?
A. 
A RPL pilot can earn an average salary of $15,000 p a. Which meets the global average salary benchmark.


Q.  WHAT IS THE RETURN ON OUR HUMAN CAPITAL DEVELOPMENT?
A. 
300% on the initial outlay. But the return is in perpetuity as the RPL license is internationally recognised.

Q.  WHAT IS THE BENEFIT TO SOCIETY?
A. 
The multiplier effect of one drone job is estimated to be 5 indirect jobs in the mining sector but could be as high as 10 times in the agricultural sector. A donation of $5,000 should therefore create an average of 6 direct and indirect jobs. You can also employ a graduate RPL for your organisation or sponsor a candidate.
