HOW CAN I APPLY FOR LEARNERSHIP?

Q.  WHAT DO I NEED TO APPLY?
A. 
You must be healthy and have successfully completed your secondary education.


Q.  HOW OLD MUST I BE?
A. 
CAA regulations require that you must be older than 18 to obtain your RPL license. You can however join our learnership programme while you are still 17.


Q.  MUST I BE ABLE TO SPEAK ENGLISH?
A. 
ICAO requires that English is used as the international language of communication when operating any airborne vehicle (drone or plane).


Q.  HOW FIT MUST I BE?
A. 
To become a drone pilot, you will need to pass a medical examination. As you will be requiring eye-hand co-ordination, you need to be of average health to operate the controls.


Q.  MUST I HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE?
A. 
Depending where you are based you will need to ensure that you are able to visit the sites / locations requiring drone services. A drivers license would therefore be preferable.


Q.  DO I NEED TO BE SOUTH AFRICAN?
A. 
No, we aim to train drone pilots across many countries. Our footprint is currently South Africa and Zambia but we will soon be expanding into Ghana and Mozambique.
